Bare Tissue is about being exposed. Taking influences from the Internet, everyday life is lived as an anticipated memory, a fictional character we create for ourselves on social media platforms or blogs, whichever medium one uses. This is the definite irony, we are bare naked yet protected within the fantasy.
The overexposure will make one look for the natural, to seek within us what is real. Gravitating towards soft and peaceful colors and textures are essential in the portrayal of comfort in one's skin. Embellishments are removed completely and replaced by one's idiosyncrasies: stretch marks, moles, or any imperfection. Bare tissue is not about being a purist, but about being honest.
